Growing up, my family never participated in Halloween activities; minimal Fall décor, no trick-or-treating, and scary movies at a minimum. Maybe that’s what has created me into this ultra-Fall/Halloween loving person that I am today. There’s just something exciting about the decorations, the weather, and the playful spookiness of the holiday season. I’ve rounded up some fantastic Amazon finds to help you transform your home this Halloween season. Whether it’s a family gathering, a harvest party, or simply want to infuse your space with fall and Halloween vibes, these picks will help you create the perfect atmosphere.
Fall-Themed Decor
Harvest Pumpkin Pillow Covers – If you are just looking to keep it simple, pillow covers are made for you. I swap out my regular fluffy white pillows for these harvest pumpkin designs. I tend to buy a variety to really mix and match to create that cozy Fall vibe.
Cozy Throw Blanket – I mentioned in another blog about cozy Fall vibes about my favorite Snuggle Sac blankets that is cheetah print. They also make a snuggly pumpkin one that adds a bit of color to my couch.
Pumpkins! – To not risk a rotting gourd on my table, I opted for some fake pumpkins to scatter about. I normally will check out Hobby Lobby or Michaels for wooden pumpkins, but Amazon did have these resin pumpkins that almost match exactly what I’m looking for. Plus, I do love these tiny velvet pumpkins to scatter about too (I bought a couple packs to make sure it filled up my wooden décor bowl).
Halloween Fun
Halloween Ghost Projector – For a bit of spooky fun without having to string lights, this projector is easy to set up.
Ghost in a Glass – I plan to get this little guy and set him up on my mantle with pumpkins and skeletons around it. It’s unique and I love that!
Spooky Ghost for Porch or Yard – I have not purchased these cute little ghouls yet, but I think this is a perfect addition to a front porch to give a fun spooky vibe in the midst of all the pumpkins.
Floating Candles – We have a long entranceway that leads you back to the living room and kitchen, and I love the idea of having floating candles and witches’ hats guiding the way. Floating candles were inspired by the Great Hall in Harry Potter and it gives the ultimate magical Halloween feeling.
Trick-or-Treat Candy Bowl – While we didn’t do huge Halloween activities, one thing my mom would set out is a motion sensor trick-or-treat bowl. We would laugh and laugh as kids when the hand would catch us trying to grab a piece of candy.
Fall Kitchen Essentials
Fall-Themed Cookie Cutters – It’s not Fall if I don’t have Snickerdoodle and Peanut Butter cookies made up. I love the idea of using cute cookie cutters whenever I make cookies but they always turn into weird, fat shapes. So, if anyone has any tips, send them my way.
Kitchen Set – To follow the pillows and blankets in the living room, I like to swap out my basic hand towels and oven mitts with more festive vibes.
Cocktail Picks – I plan to have more get-togethers this Fall now that Zoey is older and doesn’t require as much attention as an infant did. I think these little picks will be perfect for finger foods and fruits.
Outdoor Accents
I like simple decorations with touches of seasonal crops in my decorations. Our front porch is larger right around the front door, so you guessed it, it gets filled with a whole bunch of pumpkins, wreaths, doormat, ghosts – you name it. This year, I plan to go bigger – sorry, Tony!
Pumpkin Doormat – We got ours at Home Depot so check there if you are looking for some cute holiday finds too.
Pumpkins – I haven’t purchased these exact pumpkin sets (last year we had real pumpkins) but I think every porch needs pumpkins whether real or fake.
Garden Flag – If you want to keep it simple, opt for a garden flag. Naturally I gravitate towards ones with dogs since we have three pups.
Embrace the Fall and Halloween vibes! It’s a time to be playful and fun with your décor. Here’s to a season filled with warmth, fun, and memorable moments with family and friends!
